This will be the last post, I post on my blog!

First of all I want to thank all the readers of my blog :)

I'm back in Belgium since 22th June. So I had some time to become used to the Belgian culture... Here are some pictures of my last days in Izmir.

I'm back...

Yesterday we had the last day with our Swedish roommates. We went to have dinner with them and afterwards we went to the birtday party of Eda. Though we didn't know that much people, we had a really good time. Karin & Nicklas had to leave early because they had to catch a bus in the morning. So after a wild taxidrive (I've a movie of it :D) we had some rest.

It was hard to get up this morning. ;) But it was worth it. We had breakfast together with our 4 at the balcony! It was the last one... After a trip with the big bags towards the busstation we had to say goodbye.

This is for Karin & Nicklas:

Guys I had an amazing time with you!! I couldn't imagine spending those months with some other roommates. I'm so glad we could take part in your adventure and that you helped us to find our way here in Izmir. Thanks for everything and I'm really going to miss you...

See you and hopefully we meet again in August!! (Methap has to come to Netherlands :D)

Diner with our roommates & Mehtap

Hi there,


Because some people who speak English took some interest in my blog I'm going to try writing in English :) Don't laugh with the spelling mistakes... (I really hope my English teacher doesn't see this :p)

So today it was the second last evening we could spent with our two roommates. You should know them by now: Karin & Nicklas! We had a nice dinner, watch the game (Go go Dutchmen :d 4-1), had a nice drink. Tomorrow it's the birthday party of Eda! So you'll here from me soon!

De laatste 10

Dag allemaal,

Hier ben ik nog eens voor één van mijn laatste posts. Jaja het zit hier bijna op. Toch wel met gemengde gevoelens. Ik kijk extreem uit naar het weerzien met het thuisfront maar toch vond ik deze ervaring gewoon prachtig en het beste van al: Niemand kan mij dit nog afpakken.

Overmorgen is het het verjaardagsfeestje van Eda & Efe dus foto's volgen er zeker & vast nog.

En dan is het zover: dan moeten we afscheid nemen van onze Zweedse kotgenootjes & dan nog 7 daagjes en we laten Izmir ook achter ons. Ik ga het toch missen! Iedere ochtend opstaan met een stralend zonnetje, iedere ochtend ontbijten op ons balkonneke, iedere dag vriendelijke mensen,....

Maar soit ik ga hier niet emotioneel doen! Ik heb nog 10 dagen om er ten volle van te genieten dus

Methap Birthday

Hallo allemaal,

De deadline komt steeds dichter met als gevolg minder activiteiten & minder berichtjes op mijn blog. Maar gisteren was er toch nog een activiteit!

Methap, de "mentor" van onze Zweedse kotgenootjes (Karin & Nicklas), is 23 geworden dus ze moest eens in de bloemetjes gezet worden.

Eerst zijn we gaan bowlen in het Hilton hotel (dit klink chic maar troost u maar dat is gewoon schijn :p ) Daarna zijn we iets gaan eten in een leuk restaurant en om af te sluiten zijn we nog iets in de bar gaan drinken. Voorlopig heb ik nog maar 1 foto kunnen bemachtigen!

Vandaag was het ook de eerste dag van Euro 2008 - Uefa en de Turken mochten de eerste match spelen. Als trouwe Erasmus studenten hebben we de televisie opgezet en de match uitgekeken. Helaas hebben ze 2-0 verloren tegen de Portugezen... (Wat eigenlijk redelijk voorspelbaar bleek, hoewel Lex bleef hopen op doelpunt van de Turken :) )

Ik ga morgen mijn laatste 2 weekjes in en dan kom ik België terug onveilig maken :)
